September 2022 Update: price freeze, corporate accounts and partnership with Proficiency

As the winter draws in and with the cost of living and energy bills on many people’s minds, we thought we would use this month’s blog to offer our help and knowledge of the property and energy efficiency industry to support our users and their clients.

Whilst we welcome the Government’s £2,500 cap on energy prices, in some cases, this is still a 50% increase in energy bills. With this crisis not disappearing any time soon, households need to change their mindsets to use less, which in turn will save them money on their energy bills.

As a way of helping our users, we have partnered with our sister company Quidos to create the top 10 energy-saving tips. Quidos and their accredited assessors are also on hand to produce up-to-date EPCs in order to get the most current information on how you can improve your home, reduce your energy use and save money.

On top of this, we have decided to lock our prices for all users. We are happy to announce we will not be raising our prices for at least 12 months. Your zPlan bill will be one that does not increase this year.

zPlan introduce corporate accounts

This is another case of “you asked, we delivered”. Many of our users work in teams where one person draws the plans and an administrator makes amendments/adds personalisation. Currently, you have not been able to share plans between teams…..until now.

Companies can now sign up for unique corporate packages to suit their needs. The corporate account will allow an administrator to view and amend any plans within “their team”, see which team member completed the plan as well as export from their account.

These packages will be based on the number of corporate users and plans produced by the team.

If you are interested in your company signing up for a corporate package to save money on multiple accounts, please contact or call us on 01225 667633

zPlan partners with Proficiency

zPlan is happy to announce that we will be working more closely in partnership with Proficiency (formerly DCHI) alongside our sister company Quidos.

By offering additional benefits to Proficiency members, zPlan & Quidos are demonstrating our commitment not just to our own members but to supporting the wider energy assessor and property professionals’ community. We recognise the important role Proficiency play in cross-industry discussions and representing the interests of assessors and industry professionals.

“Proficiency is a membership organisation for qualified and accredited Energy Assessors and associated professions. It exists to support its members by providing the highest quality services to meet the changing needs of the public and local communities; not just in complying with national legislative requirements but ultimately in doing our part to protect the planet for future generations.”

Billy Say, Technical Director of zPlan commented “The work Proficiency do across the industry is fantastic. Our sister company Quidos have long believed that assessors need to be heard in the industry and we agree. At the end of the day, they are the people on the ground day to day and have very valid opinions and ideas. Proficiency enables that to happen. We believe the industry should be about multiple voices working together for the common good and Proficiency have that same ethos. They look after their members in a number of ways, and we look forward to participating in more Proficiency hosted events in the future.”

Proficiency membership can add significant additional benefits for zPlan and Quidos members which is why we encourage our members to consider joining them as well. Together we can achieve more for you.

To become a member of Proficiency or see the benefits, head to their website.

In recognition of our closer working relationship, Proficiency is offering a £20 discount for Quidos members who join during October. To use this discount, you need to sign up to Quidos and log in to your account to find your discount code.
