April update: our rebrand, floor plan design guidance, PEPA & more

With Spring now upon us, like many, zPlan is feeling cautiously optimistic about the year ahead. As more industries begin to open up, we’re already seeing increased use of our floor plan design software. Hopefully, this means our members are enjoying an upswing in work – long may this continue, especially since the Stamp Duty Holiday has been extended.

zPlan gets a lick of paint

You will have noticed some changes to the zPlan website and app recently, which has coincided with a complete rebrand. As part of this rebrand, you will benefit from additional technical support, industry news and even more guidance on our floor plan design software. We have also moved our iPad app to a higher performance server, which puts us in a great place to develop zPlan’s functionality and usability further. Watch this space.

Video tip of the month

As part of our monthly newsletters, we will be offering a zPlan tip of the month, which will land directly in your inbox.

This month, we thought we would start simple. Did you know that you can refine measurements more accurately by simply holding down the element you wish to define with the mouse and then navigating using the arrows on your keyboard? It’s an easy trick that saves you time.

Here’s a video demonstrating the steps:

Floor plan design training

With the housing market remaining critical during the latest lockdown, many of our subscribers won’t have the time to train new staff on floor plan design via zPlan software in addition to pen and paper.

We have partnered with Quidos Accreditation Scheme to offer our users an online training course for just £89+VAT, worth 5 hours CPD. Whether you’re looking to train team members or just need a refresher, this is the course for you.

You can purchase the course here.

PEPA Conference 2021

All our subscribers should have received an email reminding them about the PEPA Conference 2021, of which we will be in attendance.

The Property Energy Professionals Association (PEPA) is a trade body that represents companies engaged in the provision of Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs), Display Energy Certificates (DECs) and Air Conditioning Inspection Reports (ACIRs). PEPA has held successful conferences for Energy Assessors since 2018, with excellent feedback from delegates.

This year’s conference will be taking place on 25th May 2021 and will include sessions on ECO4, EPC Action Plan, MEES, PAS 2035 and PAS 2038. All accreditation schemes will be present, and we have confirmed speakers from BEIS and MHCLG who will be able to inform you of future plans within the industry.

A session will provide you with 5 CPD hours, with elements accessible after the event, and you can purchase a pass at an early booking price of £50+VAT (for a limited time).

We hope our first monthly newsletter has delivered some valuable insights. If you have any further questions, please feel free to contact a member of our friendly team.
